About the Founder

Kevin Williams, JD, MPH

Trustee, President & Founder

Kevin Williams, JD, MPH, is the Trustee, President, and Founder of the Niculia “Nikki” Williams Education & Equity Foundation, established to honor the life, leadership, and enduring legacy of his mother, Niculia “Nikki” Williams.

For more than 32 years, Kevin had the privilege of working alongside his mother in service to children, families, and communities. Their partnership was both personal and professional. Mrs. Williams was a visionary community leader with an extraordinary ability to see what children and families needed and to build programs around those needs. Kevin found great joy in supporting her vision—helping translate ideas into programs, partnerships, organizational infrastructure, and sustainable strategies while bringing a public health lens to their shared work.

The Foundation represents a continuation of that partnership. Through its commitment to education, equity, leadership, health and wellness, and opportunity for children and families, Kevin seeks not simply to preserve his mother’s legacy, but to carry her values forward for another generation.

Professionally, Kevin has spent more than three decades working at the intersection of law, public health, nonprofit leadership, education, workforce development, and community investment.

He is President & CEO of Stephen Capital Partners, LLC, a multidisciplinary advisory firm that helps nonprofits, churches, health organizations, and small businesses strengthen strategy, access capital, improve organizational and financial readiness, and build sustainable institutions.

Kevin also serves as an Associate Professor of Public Health, where his teaching and scholarship explore public health law, criminal justice, health equity, policy, and community-based approaches to improving population health. He directs national workforce development programming focused on expanding pathways into health care and public health careers, with particular attention to education, mentorship, experiential learning, and workforce pipelines.

His commitment to educational opportunity extends to his board service. Kevin serves on the Board of The Phillip Academy and the Board of Legacy of Lazarus, supporting efforts to ensure that students and young people have meaningful access to education, opportunity, and the resources necessary to thrive.

An attorney as well as a public health professional, Kevin manages his own law practice, focusing on nonprofit law, small business matters, and intellectual property. His multidisciplinary career reflects a consistent philosophy: strong organizations, educational opportunity, economic empowerment, and healthy communities are deeply interconnected.

Through the Niculia Williams Foundation, Kevin brings those experiences back to the work that began with his mother more than three decades ago—supporting vision, building institutions, creating opportunity, and helping ensure that the next generation has the resources to pursue its fullest potential.
